Windows movie maker - I want to mute the video soundtrack - have background Music AND talk over it.?
I have a michael jackson video clip with audio of him singing. I also have the instrumental version of that song. I want to mute the audio of the video and have the instrumental as the audio track. So far so good. Now the problem is that I want to talk over that background Music.
It does not seem to want to allow me to do that -. It will only let me have either the talking or the background music - not both at the same time. is there any way to do this?
Short answer is Yes, but not in Movie Maker. Movie maker only allows one track of additional audio. So you either need a mixer or need better movie software. I'm going to suggest of free solution. You can contact me for other idea's.
Visit the Kristal site and download Kristal. This is a mixer. You'll need to learn how to use it, but its not too hard. The help is pretty good. Anyway, you'll place your Instrumental track in Track 1 and record your narration or whatever in track 2. Once your happy with the audio solution you'll mixdown the results to a wave file that you can insert in your movie audio track.
