Music Legends
It is senseless to live without Music and real music is impossible without great musicians. Have you heard about such legendary names as Tom Petty, Kenny Chesney, Keney West and Jimmy Buffet? Names of these people are already included in the history of music.
Tom Petty is a singer, guitarist and song writer who plays rock music. He was born and grew up in Gainesville, Florida. He became interested in rock at the age of 11 when he met Elvis Presley. His recording career began with the album “Tom Petty and the heartbreakers”. This album was not very popular, but second album “You’re Gonna Get It!” entered the top 40 albums in the USA.
Kanye West is the most famous American rap performer and hip-hop producer. He released his first album in 2004; it was called “The College Dropout”. In 2007 he released his third album “Graduation”. All his albums got a lot of awards including several Grammys. Keney was born in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002 he got into car accident and it inspired him to write his first single “Through the Wire”. In 2004 he was recognized as “the best new artist”.
Kenny Chesney is one of the brightest representatives of country music. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. Kenny recorded thirteen albums and all of them were recognized by Recording Industry Association of America.

Buy or Sell, Rolling Stone magazine completely loses credibility for constantly re-rating albums?
I personally believe that the magazine is a joke and surely the fact that they constantly go back and re-rate albums once they have been well received by fans just proves that it is populist garbage and nothing more. In my opinion they should not be taken seriously as a music critique,(well of Hip-Hop anyway) anyone agree?
Eminem summed it up in "Careful What You Wish For"
"Every CD critics gave it a 3, then 3 Years later, they'd go back and re-rate it
And call the Slim Shady LP the greatest."
Heres some examples
Nas- I Was Written (1996, 2 stars) (2004, 4 stars)
NWA- Straight Out Of Compton (Was given a 5 star rating in 2002, they didn't even review it when it came out).
Dr. Dre- The Chronic (1993, 4 stars) (2004, 5 stars)
Jay-Z- Reasonable Doubt (1996, 4 stars) (2004, 5 stars)
They have done this with countless albums, these were just the first examples that came to mind.
Anyway your thoughts please...
Rolling Stone has lost all creditability to me as well.
I remember when Mariah's GLITTER cd came out (soundtrack for the ill-fated movie of the same name) and they gave it a 3 star rating.
Then, once the movie was released and it tanked (both at the box office and with the critics) they suddenly jumped on the bandwagon and lowered it down to 1 star. I mean...WTF?
I say, you be your own judge. Only you can decide what you like and what you don't. F*ck the critics.
